I have gotten a few updates on different builds for an update to fix the problem and even on this last build I am still update to do this update for my HP Printer. I had the same problem with a HP 4 in one inkjet printer. Another ten year old printer worked fine with I got the HP to work by doing a search for drivers from within "Properties" for the hp envy 7640 software windows 10 there were 4 or 5 listed and the third one installed for me and I haven't looked back.

Go to control panel, go to printers, remove any "unknown devices" from the printers section, that worked for me. I've even removed the printer, and allowed Windows 10 to "discover" it and install it. The printer works, the update sofyware. I should note that I am working with a laptop and this printer is used in one location via the local wifi and selected as default. I have another printer installed for use at another location.
